Acting

From my first play in kindergarten to my last work in the musical, “Hair!,” (YEP! For final rehearsal I did the nude scene properly!) the theater had been an important part of my life.

I have worked backstage and enjoy running a light board but I’m at my best and most comfortable on stage.

Singing

I took a break from acting and concentrated on some choral work.  I was a member of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC (GMCW), for awhile and had the time of my life!

I’ve done a lot of musicals and have participated in church choirs, but the Gay Men’s Chorus has given me the opportunity to address the art of my voice with constant challenges with some of the most beautiful music!  My fellow “chorines” are truly wonderful people and these men are an important part of my life.

I took a break from GMCW some time ago and always think about it every time auditions come around.  Rehearsals are on Sunday nights and I have become very selfish about my Sunday evenings.  I’m not ready to go back, yet!

Technical

As mentioned, I have spent my time backstage.  I’m now helping Jim from time-to-time with his performance activities.  When I can, I help during the performance running the sound and light boards.  And, of course, I’m his “roadie”.  (What’s it worth to ya to meet the band?)
